GET TO KNOW THE ARTISANS: LUNA & LUCA
Born in Venice and raised in her mother’s artisan workshop, Luna learned the art of stringing jewelry from an early age. She fell in love with the ancient craft of the Perlera (bead maker), mesmerized by the sinuous movements of the bead makers who, like sorcerers, dance with fire to create small, marvelous works of art. In 2010, she began shaping her first creations in her father’s bead factory, mastering the lampwork technique before refining her skills in various artistic workshops in Murano.
An eclectic soul, Luca gained experience in various artisan fields, developing a remarkable manual talent. He first encountered the world of glass in 2016 upon meeting Luna. Together, they studied and experimented with the medium under the guidance of their Master, Lucio Bubacco. This collaboration grew into a relationship of friendship and trust, leaving them deeply grateful to have learned a unique and profound way of interacting with glass.
In 2020, the couple took over the workshop from Luna’s retired parents. However, driven by the desire to bring their shared dream to life in a space that truly reflects their identity, in September 2025 they found their ideal home in this new studio: 'Alchimia Vitrum'.
